High Extinction Ratio Closed-Loop Fiber Optic Gyroscope Polarization-Maintaining Fibre Coil

Optimized for φ50 FOG assemblies, this coil offers a tightly controlled insertion loss of ≤0.2 dB. The multi-pole winding technique ensures temperature resilience, with zero bias peak-to-peak values remaining below 1.5°/h across the full -45°C to 80°C range. The 260m fiber length is precisely controlled within a ±5m tolerance to meet specific gyroscope sensitivity requirements.

Application Areas

Primarily used in closed-loop fiber optic gyroscopes with a diameter of approximately 50mm.

This polarization-maintaining fiber coil utilizes multi-pole symmetric winding technology with 135μm thin diameter optical fibers and UV-cured adhesive. The design delivers exceptional temperature and vibration performance while enabling mass production with consistent quality.
